Open Educational Resources (OER) Workshop

Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 10:00am - 1:30pm (LIB 242 & LIB 286)

Join our community of practice to develop your "commons" mindset. We’ll explore the what, why, and how of OER, including, but not limited to: open textbooks, freely-available online resources, library resources available to registered students, custom-published materials that include some royalty-free content, and faculty-created content.

At this workshop, you will have the opportunity to work directly with librarians and instructional designers to learn how to find, evaluate, and adapt high quality open educational materials in your courses.

You can also learn about successful adoptions of OER on campus with faculty leads and experts from the Library, DPRC, and Academic Technology to help you make your implementation of OER more effective.

Lunch will be provided. After lunch, librarians and instructional designers will be available for one-on-one consults.

Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP.
